Jewels of the Sea

The cross section of the nautilus shell is symbolic of the logarithmic spiral or the “eternal line”, presenting itself in nature. Once the matte layer with the stripes is removed, a second, strikingly iridescent layer is revealed. The Nautilus Pendants pay tribute to the beautiful ancient creatures and their art-inspiring shells.

Giant clams, or Gaa’haka, as they are known in the Maldives, are found in shallow coral reefs and lagoons, and they are an important part of the ecosystem in the Maldives. 

This design is inspired by the undulating curves of the shells of these magnificent creatures.

The Zigzag Venus Clam, like most members of the Veneridae family, have very unique shells, oval with vibrant brownish orange markings set against a pearlescent base that looks almost like a cave drawing.

The Venus Pendants honour the beauty of this appropriately named bivalve, a true gem of the ocean.
