As the HR Manager at Oevaali Art Shop Maldives, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating a positive and supportive work environment for our team members. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management, including recruitment, employee relations, training and development, performance management, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Conduct interviews, evaluate candidates, and facilitate the hiring process.
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding and orientation programs.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters.
  • Address employee concerns and conflicts in a timely and confidential manner.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work culture that promotes employee engagement and retention.
  • Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Coordinate employee training sessions and workshops, both internally and externally.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives.
  • Implement performance management processes to set goals, provide feedback, and evaluate employee performance.
  • Conduct performance reviews and facilitate constructive discussions between employees and managers.
  • Identify opportunities for career development and advancement.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with local law.
  • Manage payroll processes and benefits administration in collaboration with finance and administrative teams.
  • Stay updated on labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee morale and team cohesion.
  • Organize team-building activities, events, and recognition programs.
  • Solicit feedback from employees and implement strategies to address areas for improvement.
  • Administrative ad-hoc tasks maybe assigned as required.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management. 
    • Proven experience as an HR Manager. 
    • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations specific to the Maldives.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with employees at all levels.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
    • Familiarity with local customs and cultural sensitivities in the Maldives, alongside a good understanding of the Oevaali Art Shop brand.
    • Ability to adapt HR strategies to align with the unique needs and challenges of the Maldivian workforce.
    • Fluency in Dhivehi and English languages, both written and verbal, is highly desirable.

      Working Hours

      Full-time shifts - 5 day working week Sun-Thu, 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
